The Deciders Focus Groups project is a partnership between the Institute for Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship (IDJC), Engagious/Sago, in collaboration with NBC News.
In 2026, we are conducting focus groups on four dates over the course of the year, with distinct groups of voters in battleground states, around issues of importance ahead of pivotal midterm elections. Our students have an opportunity to suggest questions and watch the sessions, learning about newsgathering, civic engagement and media literacy.
